Conference on "Religious Heritage in a Diverse Europe," June 19-21, 2019 in Groningen, Netherlands
Conference on "Religious Heritage in a Diverse Europe," which the Centre for Religion and Heritage at the University of Groningen is organizing together with leading Dutch and international heritage organizations: Groningen Historic Churches Foundation, Museum Catharijneconvent, Jewish Historical Quarter (JCK), and the Future for Religious Heritage. It will take place from June 19-21, 2019 in Groningen, Netherlands.
It is our aim to create a forum for the exchange of ideas between scholars and heritage professionals on topics related to heritage work in a rapidly changing European religious landscape. In this spirit, we are seeking contributions from heritage organizations who have thought about issues of diversity, secularization, outreach and can share their experiences. The enclosed call for papers outlines some questions and requests submissions. We are also open to other forms of engagement, for example through participation in roundtable discussions.
We would be pleased if you would circulate this announcement via your networks. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Lieke Wijnia (firstname.lastname@example.org), who is the organizer of the conference.
To coincide with the conference, we are also hosting a university summer school together with the International Network for Interreligious Research and Education (INIRE).
