Nominations open for ACHS Executive Committee
Dear ACHS members,
Nominations are now open for membership on the ACHS Executive Committee (twelve positions), as well as the offices of ACHS President and Vice President.
The nomination period will run for two weeks (nominations must be received by 23 May 2016), after which an election will be held and the results announced at the Montreal ACHS conference (June 2016).
Members of the Executive Committee are expected to make a significant contribution to various aspects of ACHS’ administration and future growth, with responsibilities ranging across the ‘Conferences and Events’, ‘Communications’ and ‘Membership and Chapters’ sub-committees.
- A term of service on the Executive Committee is approximately two years, with the election cycle coinciding with our biennial conference.
- Standing members of the Executive Committee are asked to re-nominate at each election if they wish to continue serving.
- Individuals serving in the roles of President and Vice President are restricted to two consecutive terms.
- The President and Vice President should not be residents of the same country.
Prof Tim Winter intends to stand again for ACHS President, and a number of the standing Executive Committee members have indicated their intention to seek re-election at Montreal.
